We need volunteers throughout the year at our monthly events as well as at our main event in January and in the weeks and months leading up to it. Please email us to be put on our volunteer list.

What does the Houston Salsa Congress provide?
The Houston Salsa Congress hosted by Houston Salsa Dancers, Inc. sets out to educate others of the richness of Latin culture through dance. The Houston Salsa Congress arranges performances of a broad range of salsa styles from various ethnic backgrounds and many geographical regions. The Houston Salsa Congress consists of four days of dance exhibitions, dance workshops, and social dancing. This will provide an educational experience of the culture and diversity of several Latin dance styles for Houstonians of all ages.
In conjunction with the Houston Salsa Congress, one day will be set aside for the University of Houston to provide assistance to high school and college students on an individual basis and provide valuable information about scholarships and financial aid.
Why do we need sponsorship?
Sponsorship monies are vital to fund yearly programs organized by the Houston Salsa Dancers, Inc. Our primary aim is to provide community service, and monies will benefit the organization in several ways.
1. Sponsors can assist with the funding of programs at the University of Houston such as Bailando Hacia la Universidad! (Dancing Your Way to College!)
2. Donations can be used for the purpose of facilitating the educational and professional development of students, dancers, event participants, and the community at large. We encourage all of the aforementioned to apply for any of our yearly college scholarships which are awarded to qualified and deserving individuals every year. Houston Salsa Dancers, Inc. enthusiastically encourages and supports higher education.
3. Donations allow us to provide a diverse artistic and cultural experience in the form of Latin music and dance. Events are held year round, the most important one being the Houston Salsa Congress. This event raises awareness and promotes participation from a wide range of programs which are highlighted during the event.
4. Donations help control event costs, so that even in tough economic times, we can maintain high standards and memorable events that remain affordable to our many attendees.

We provide a dual benefit to the community. This adds to our multi-tiered marketing avenues and gives sponsors exposure to over 40,000 dancers and salsa enthusiasts across the world through on-site promotion, web campaigns, direct marketing pieces, and more.
